Something For Everyone
Three Frogs went to see a movie together.
The First Frog liked it.
The Second Frog thought the movie was okay.
And The Third Frog thought the movie was a total waste of time.
Once the movie was over the three Frogs decided they all wanted to go and grab a quick bite together. They decided they would go to the closest place to them that was open right now. Luckily there was a place nearby called Applebee's that would be open for another 2 hours.
"I like that place," said the First Frog.
"I think that place is okay," said the Second Frog.
"I think that place sucks eggs," said the Third Frog, "But since it's closest I'll abide by the rules."
So the three friends made their way to Applebee's. It didn't take long, it was only a short walk, and a popular one at that. The route connecting the movie theater to Applebee's was very well traversed in the Forest. The city took notice of how busy and well-used that route is so they decided to beautify the area with a lot of really nice and interestingly ornate seasonal plantings of plants.
"I like those plantings," said the First Frog.
"I think those plantings are okay," said the Second Frog.
"How come we only ever do what you guys want to do?" Interjected the Third Frog.
This outburst caused the other two Frogs to stop in their tracks. The two never considered that they were only doing things that they liked. The three Frogs had been friends for a very long time and this had pretty much been their dynamic since the jump.
"I want an answer," The Third Frog demanded.
The First Frog and The Second Frog always figured the Third Frog liked not liking things. They had no idea, that he was capable of actually liking things. They had never witnessed that side of him. Perhaps they were inattentive or simply fell back on the comfort of familiar patterns.
"Well, what do you want to do?" The First Frog asked. "I'm great with anything you want to do."
"Yeah," the Second Frog chimed in, "I'd be okay with anything you want to do, too."
"I hate this," The Third Frog answered, "We've been friends several years now, how do you not know what I like to do?"
Again, the other two Frogs were shocked. The Third Frog had never mentioned that they disliked disliking all the places they went.
The three arrived at the front door of Applebee’s. The first two frogs didn’t know what to do.
“Let’s just go to Applebee’s,” said the Third Frog, “We’re right here, but it doesn’t count as a place I chose!”
“I’m okay with that idea,” the Second Frog agreed.
“I think that idea stinks,” the First Frog exclaimed.
“Yeah but this time it’s my idea,” beamed the Third Frog, “Let’s go, boys! Those boneless wings aren’t going to order themselves!”
The three walked into Applebee’s and enjoyed half-off apps together before leaving and going their separate ways.
