The Otter's Big Day

When the Otter went to sleep that night she couldn’t imagine the feelings and emotions the next day would bring. The previous day was such a blur she was hardly able to take anything in.

The day before was a big important celebration for the Otter. One of the big important life events that so many folks look forward to and only happens once.

As many have experienced, the Otter’s big day came and went so quickly that the Otter wondered if she was truly enjoying every moment to the fullest. Sometimes things felt so unreal it was as if it wasn’t even her big day but another big day of someone else that she was just a part of.

So many thoughts were going through her head on the day of her big day the Otter was worried she wouldn’t make any memories. There were so many familiar faces to see and smile at, so many miniature details to take in and so many emotional moments that made up her big day how could she possibly remember them all?

The thing that gave the Otter such anxiety was that everyone kept reminding her that it was her big day, all day.

"It's your big day!"

"Oh my god are you excited for your big day!"

"Are you enjoying your big day!"

"You'll remember this day for the rest of your life!"

No wonder the Otter was so worried about remembering her big day. There was so much pressure to do so!

Midway through the day, the Otter realized she was simply tired of trying to remember everything that happened on her big day and just wanted to enjoy her big day. So she relaxed and took everything in. To hell with remembering her whole day. She would just enjoy her big day and sort through everything tomorrow morning, if something was worth remembering she would remember it for sure.

She had a wonderful time on her big day and went to sleep feeling wonderful. Having fully enjoyed her big day.

Then she woke up with a big smile on her face.
